On 'muqarnas', GLIA presents a suite of pattering, tastefully distorted instrumentals akin to the blown glass of Nadia Khan, or Norwell's homespun synth and drum machine workouts. GLIA's songs twist and flutter like a decrepit sparrow murmuration - oozing and warping under commands above the clouds and beyond our frequency. This collision of the highly technical yet naturally occurring points towards the little sculptures of Broshuda: like crystals encrusting a motherboard, imbuing mossy circuitry with fidgety sentience.

This album contains some of the most subtle, most ethereal ambient music I've ever heard. Emily is clearly an up-and-coming modular synth master. I look forward to hearing more of her work in the future. Ryan Jensen
