Artist notes

"This music is dedicated to the memory of Evan Weissman.

This music was originally created because my family was going to have a second child and I suddenly was going to lose my nice little music instrument space. That meant my beloved church organ going to the basement (likely to never be used again). Before moving it downstairs, I stayed up many nights recording long drones, not sure what I was going to do with them, just a way of saying goodbye. I would do this with a beer and a couple cheap, electric votives (thus the title. clever, eh?).

Some time passed and I was asked to play a live set (a rare and exciting occurrence!), so I created a bunch of parallel tracks that I mixed together live with the organ drones as a base. The ideas that jelled for that performance became this recorded work."
